Requests and complaints handling procedure
Everyone has the right to request the digital accessibility of a website, mobile application, or a specific element thereof. You may also request information through an alternative means of access, such as reading out a digitally inaccessible document or describing the content of a video without audio description.
The request should include the details of the person submitting it, an indication of which website or application it concerns, and a preferred means of contact. If the person submitting the request indicates a need for alternative access, they should also specify a convenient way to present the information.
The public body shall respond to the request promptly, no later than within 7 days. If this is not possible, the requester will be informed when the request can be fulfilled — this time limit shall not exceed 2 months. If digital accessibility cannot be provided, the public body may propose an alternative means of accessing the information.
If the public body refuses to fulfill the request or to provide an alternative means of access, a complaint may be submitted regarding the lack of digital accessibility. After exhausting the procedure above, a complaint may also be lodged with the Ombudsman.
